Rolando is the creative director at Landor Associates Latin America. A Mexican-born creative, he began his career in Mexico where he worked on corporate identity, retail environments and, ultimately, consumer packaging where he has spent most of his career. In 1999 Rolando Moved to Landor San Francisco, where he lead creative teams for Pepsico International, Dole and Frito-Lay North America.
In 2007, Rolando relocated back to Mexico as Landor’s creative director to rebuild a depleted Landor office. He focused on building new client relationships and creating a full working studio. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall creative vision of the Mexico Landor office’s engagements. Working closely with clients and the creative team, he oversees every aspect of the creative process, ensuring overall creative excellence.
Rolando’s creative philosophy and design passion makes him key in leading unique solutions for a client list that includes Gamesa, Danone, Frito-Lay, Grupo Modelo, PepsiCo, and Philip Morris. In Mexico and the U.S., Rolando has taught classes and led workshops and conferences for prestigious colleges and business associations in Mexico and the region. His work has won several awards from specialized design magazines and art associations in Mexico and the U.S.
